Dylan Karle was born and raised in New York City. He began school for biochemistry, but once he found flameworking and discovered Salem Community College he left his biochemical studies to pursue dual degrees in scientific and artistic glass blowing. For the past 8 years Dylan has been working as a flying trapeze instructor where he studies the human body in motion. His work in glass is a continuation of his study, combining old Venitian techniques of lampworking solid figures with newer borosilicate glass and scientific techniques to create hollow and solid figure sculptures in various positions.
