Fleur Elise Bkln is a Flower Market to Table floral design company started by Elise Bernhardt in 2018.. Bernhardt sources her flowers at the 28th street Flower Market and delivers flower arrangements in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Bernhardt studied dance composition with Bessie Schonberg. She then went on to found Dancing in the Streets, was the Executive Director of The Kitchen, the first Artistic Advisor for Fall for Dance and CEO of the Foundation for Jewish Culture. She has studied Flower Design at Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, the Flower School, and in Tokyo at the International Ikebana school.
Bernhardt’s tagline is “Flowers are like dancers only quieter” and as a producer of site-specific performances is a deep believer in the importance of location - in the case of flowers, the container in which they live. She is a longtime fan of Urban Glass and delighted to be working with Bill to teach this class.
