​UrbanGlass Gala and Auction ​Since UrbanGlass was founded in 1977, artists like Robert Rauschenberg and Kiki Smith have leaned on it to undertake ambitious projects in glass and reach new heights. The experimental glass workshop will hold its annual gala and auction on Thursday, May 16, at its studio in Brooklyn. This year's event honors artists Tauba Auerbach and Keith Sonnier, as well as gallerists Zesty Meyers and Evan Snyderman.

BROOKLYN—January 16, 2019—UrbanGlass announces the appointment of Devin Mathis as its Executive Director, effective today. After a national search, the Board of Directors selected Mathis to lead the iconic organization, based in the Downtown Brooklyn Cultural District. Mathis joins UrbanGlass from the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy in New York, where she was the Director of Programs, leading nearly five hundred cultural, recreational, and educational programs annually.
