Penelope Rakov is an internationally renowned glass artist, best known for her intricate Murrine work that she transforms into jewelry and objects. She was recently an Artist in Residence at the Corning Museum of Glass Studio in the Fall of 2018. And has taught classes and workshops in the US and abroad, including at the International Fesitval of Glass in Stourbridge, England; Pilchuck Glass School; The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass, Tyler School of Art; and Salem County Community College, to name just a few.
Penny’s work is carried by Vertri Glass gallery, The M.A.D. store at Museum of Art and Design (NYC), The SFMOMA (CA), and Urban Glass. After many years of living and working in Philadelphia, currently she lives in Central New York where she has a small private studio.
