Carlos Reyes (b. 1977, Chicago, IL) is a New York-based artist. Reyes is interested in exploring the weight, volume, and structure of ephemera and movement. His solo exhibitions include The Superfluidity of an Interior, Taon, Paris (2012). His group exhibitions include Two Coffees, Two Brandies, Denniston Hill, Woodridge, NY (2012); Yin Yang Music, Non-Objectif Sud, Tulette, France (2011); Entanglement, REGINA REX and ART BLOG ART BLOG, NYC (2011); Hakka, The Notary Public, NYC (2011); and St. Lawrence Ice, Wolfe Island, Ontario (2011).
Reyes was awarded a fellowship by the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (2011-2012), and a residency by Denniston Hill (2012). He received his M.F.A. from New York University.
