Terri Sigler received her MBA from UCLA and a BA from Howard University. She spent the first half of her career working in corporate America in the apparel and medical industries. Upon discovering glassblowing, she stepped off the corporate ladder to pursuit art-- and to help improve the quality of life of those around her. Her artistic expressions are interpreted through vessels and sculptural art. She studies and teaches at the Corning Museum of Glass and Urban Glass. She's a studio artist working in New York City.
In the spirit of experimentation, Terri will explore, “Making-- under the influence of Hip Hop”. during the residency. Terri will explore creating patterns and/or objects while listening to iconic Hip Hop music. Inspired by graffiti, color, words, dance and song, the end product may include 2-D and 3-D glass objects as well as performance art inspired by the B Team.
