High School Camp! Intro to Stained Glass (FREE - STEM)
August 5th - August 16thStained glass windows tell dazzling stories through the interplay of color and light. Explore the fundamentals of this ancient artform using the Tiffany copper foil method! Students will learn how to draw designs, select color palettes, cut sheet glass, sand with grinders, and solder the pieces together into flat panels and 3D sculptures. Students will also learn how to create complex imagery and enhance their designs with other techniques, like painting with enamels and fusing glass in the kiln (oven). From geometric patterns to elaborate compositions, students will take inspiration from history and personal experience to tell their own radiant stories in glass.
