Drop-in Studio Tours
Saturdays at 1pm, FREE, lasts about 20 minutes

Curious about what happens in the studios at UrbanGlass? Join us for our free, drop-in studio tours every Saturday at 1pm! During the tour, we will walk through each of the studio spaces to discuss and observe the variety of techniques offered at UrbanGlass. Advanced registration is not required, tour leaves promptly at 1pm and meets in the Agnes Varis Art Center Store at 647 Fulton St.

Private Studio & Gallery Tour
approx. 30 minutes, FREE
up to 20 participants, including chaperones
Join us for a guided exploration of UrbanGlass’ 17,000 square foot professional glass studios, and explore the contemporary art exhibition(s) and design objects on view in our Agnes Varis Art Center. The studio tour will discuss the equipment, studio spaces, and creative glassmaking possibilities provided at UrbanGlass. The gallery tour will discuss the artworks installed in the space, and delve into the various glass processes used in the making of the work.
Glassblowing Demonstration (in-person)
1 hour, $500 flat fee
up to 30 participants, including chaperones
Discover the glassblowing techniques that artists have used for thousands of years to create with glass. Seated demonstrations follow two artists as they work together to manipulate molten glass at temperatures of 2,200°F, with Q&A throughout. Enhance your visit with playful art kits that investigate traditional glassmaking techniques using everyday materials that mimic glass. Learn about the history of glass art, collect creative clues along the way, and make your own stunning design.
